The planned shoot for September 14 is a few days away and there has been minimal response. Options are to hold a slimmed down shoot or defer to the October 19 shoot. Choice apparent is to defer.

As much as I would like to honor the commitment of holding the shoot this Sunday, it simply does not look like a winning situation at present. We have an opportunity with this project that is far different than *just a photoshoot*. We have a stake in documenting the evolution of Detroit's fashion community and the place we live. There have been vast changes in the environment around several shoot locations from prior photoshoots of the project.

October 4 there will be a "Rip Down A Crack House" day with Blightbusters and Motor City Connect. I'd like to encourage participants and friends to come out and lend support to a great group that has been moving communities in Detroit forward for 20 years.

October 12 is the Real Big Hairball, so shooting that date is opted against.

The next phases of the Abandoned In Detroit project are full of purpose. Register on the website, read the forums, and get involved. The presence on Myspace is not going to be updated as frequently as the website proper. Existing talent in the project should already be members. I've sent out invites to everyone I have a current email address for. SO - If you didn't get an emailed invitation I have to ask you to please register on the website of your own accord.
